π₯ͺ Coding, Collaboration, and... Jam Sandwiches! π
26th Jan 2026
Our P6/7 classes had a brilliant time today during a very special "unplugged" ICT lesson! π»π«
Mr. McPeake brought us on a journey into the world of programming, teaching the pupils all about the importance of precise code and using subject-specific language. To put their new skills to the test, the class worked collaboratively to write a set of "code" (instructions) to perform a simple task: making a jam sandwich! πβ¨
The stakes were high as the instructions were passed to our resident "Robot," Mrs. O'Neill. π€ It didn't take long for the pupils to realise that even the tiniest missing detail could lead to a very messy kitchen!
The children had the opportunity to debug their code, refining their instructions to ensure Mrs. O'Neill could successfully complete the task. There was plenty of laughter, teamwork, and critical thinking involved as they learned that in the world of ICT, being specific is key! π§ π‘
Well done, P6/7! You are all coding superstars! π
