This week, our brilliant P6 pupils have been using Google Maps to explore and locate bridges in our local area—and they've done an amazing job!
Using satellite view and map tools, they: ✅ Identified key rivers and roads ✅ Spotted bridges using zoom and search features ✅ Learned how to drop pins and save locations ✅ Discussed the purpose and design of different types of bridges
It’s been a fantastic way to combine geography, technology, and local knowledge. The pupils were especially excited to find bridges they’ve walked or driven over—and even discovered a few they hadn’t noticed before!
