Building on their "unplugged" skills from last week, our P6/7 class took the next step in their coding journey today.💻
The pupils transitioned from paper instructions to programmable technology using Spheros. Working in teams, they were challenged to code their robots to navigate in the paths of various geometric shapes. 📐 To make things even more technical, they had to incorporate specific light and sound triggers at different points of their code!
The fun didn't stop there—once the programs were running, the class turned into a live quiz zone! Pupils tested one another on the properties of 2D shapes, identifying angles, vertices, and sides as the Spheros zoomed across the floor. 🔵🔺
We were very impressed with how quickly everyone moved from debugging jam sandwich instructions to mastering complex loops and angles. It was fantastic to see such brilliant collaboration and mathematical thinking in action! 🌟
