On Monday we had the opportunity to visit the Council Chambers in Ballymena. We were treated to biscuits and juice and got to ask the mayor very important questions about his role. We were then allowed to go into the council chamber where all the meetings and voting takes place. The children were very interested in seeing if the mayor could abolish homework but he said it had nothing to do with him! They had a fantastic morning and learned so much about the role of a mayor. Thank you to Mid and East Antrim Council for inviting us, allowing us to live our another of our Take Five targets- to connect.
