Preparation in the event of school closures.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As you are probably aware COVID 19 has been escalated to delay stage which may mean school closures.  As of yet we do not have any directive from the Department of Education on this.

Currently we are preparing for what may lie ahead.

• Please ensure we have up to date contact numbers for all parents in our school office.
• Connect to Seesaw if you have not done so before now.
• Find out your child's login details for Education city (P1-7) and Lexia (P1, P2 and others) if you don't already know it.
• Endeavour to have a working computer/device in your home for us to connect with your child and carers for remote learning guidance.   It is essential this is a priority as we may not be able to link with you at home in any other way.
• Sign up to Oxford Owl for guided reading and read, write inc phonics books as well as maths resources.  Twinkl also has a range of resources related to the Northern Ireland curriculum. Use the code UKTWINKLHELPS
• Teachers have already prepared booklets for all classes.
• Our maths and literacy scheme overviews will be uploaded onto the website/seesaw soon for term 2 and 3
• Have childcare arrangements in place, should this be necessary at short notice.
• No closure will take place unless you hear from us after a directive from the Department of Education.
