This morning we were lucky to have local author Derek Keilty in to speak to us about his work. Derek has written nearly 20 books and he introduced us to Ivy Newt who lives in Miraculand. Derek wowed us with magic and different impressions and also read us a piece from his current book. We asked lots of interesting questions and found out what hard work it takes to be an author and illustrator.
